FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (EASTON-OCTOBER 12, 2007)
Safe Homes Sign Up
Last year, over 500 families enrolled in Talbot Partnership’s Safe Homes program, a program for parents of 6th through 12th graders who live or attend school in Talbot County. By joining the Safe Homes project each year, families make a pledge to have adults present at teen gatherings in their homes and not to permit adolescents to consume alcohol or use tobacco products or illegal drugs in their homes or on their properties. Parents can sign up by sending in the Safe Homes pledge envelope they received in the mail or sign up online at www.talbotpartnership.org. A directory of all Safe Homes 2007/2008 participants will be mailed to Safe Home families this month and is an excellent resource to help parents and teens make good decisions about attending social events. The Safe Homes Project 2007/2008 is sponsored by the Talbot County Health Department, Talbot County Public Schools, and Talbot Partnership. For further information, contact Talbot Partnership at 410-819-8067.
