Talbot Partnership Board Attends Annual Planning Retreat
The Board of Directors of Talbot Partnership for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention recently attended a planning retreat, "Envisioning the Future," to revise its vision and mission statements and define its membership strategy in light of the 2004 Maryland Adolescent Survey which indicated that the rates of tobacco, alcohol and marijuana use, as well as many other illegal substances among Talbot County youth continue to be among the highest in the State.
Talbot Partnership's new vision statement is "Talbot Partnership envisions a community free of the abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs where youth and adults lead healthy, safe and productive lives." Its new mission statement is "Talbot Partnership, through its coalition, encourages the community to recognize the problems and implement solutions related to alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse by implementing policies, promoting early intervention programs and building a community culture that favors drug-free youth."
